Our Everyday Schedule
An important part of addiction recovery is establishing a proper schedule. The right routine can really make all the difference, so we like to start with that at our treatment center. This is because heroin addiction can take over lives and make people forget what it feels like to have a purpose.
Finding purpose once you leave treatment can feel impossible and sometimes the impact of going back to the real world can cause addicts to relapse. This is a way to show them how a set schedule can fill up their time so that they don’t have free time to end up back in their old ways of drug abuse and addiction.
If they are busy then there isn’t a chance to be distracted. This is a reason a lot of addicts end up joining groups like Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous to help fill time and give them meaningful friendships with people who understand.
